Adam's Coon Huntin Site

websitepics001.jpg

Well, just now startin a web site. Name is Adam Woods, live in Jefferson, TX. I just started coon huntin and put up a website about me and my dogs.
I got a Redbone male almost 3 years old that is a solid coon dog that can do it by hisself. He aint hard on the tree, but he can sure get em. I am using him to train 2 Redbone pups one is started at 9 months or so ... not doin too much yet and the other is almost 6 months probably. They are nice lookin dogs.
I also got a 2.5 year old Walker that needs a little more work. He can open up on a track a little and has treed a hot track and has split treed and he is really hard on the tree ... looks real good on the tree. Also have a full brother to him that isnt in the same litter thats about 3 months old or so.
So total I got 5 hounds, but I gotta train most of em. I dont really know much about training hounds, like I said I am knew at coon huntin, but I have met a couple guys that have taken me hunting, sold me dogs, and are learnin me how to coon hunt, etc. I joined the Sulpher Cypress Coon Hunter Assocation in January or 2004, and I am lookin forward to hunting with them.
Planning on puttin some pictures on here if I can ever figure out how. Thanks for stoppin by.

My Hobbies

Coon Hunting.

Well ... Here are some new pictures .......

This here is my Treeing Walker that I have been working with.  I have not had him long and he hasn't had much time in the woods, but he can open on track a little and is very hard on the tree. He needs to be hunted by himself for a few months pretty hard and then I am going to start competition hunting him.  He is Finely River/Spring Creek breeding. His dad was a nite champion and grand dad was a grand night. Here he is just a swangin' at about 7 to 8 foot high.

This is a picture of a hunt the night I took my nephew and lil cousin coon huntin with me.  We treed these two sow coons in one tree and the boys wanted to see some coon fighting.  They made short work of this pair of ringtails.

Here is a better picture of my Walker and Redbone in the day light.  My nephew and cousin was wanting to take pictures with em after that exciting night they had.

This is a picture of my Redbone ... ole Sorefoot. We took this picture and the other one of the Walker swinging around because the young boys wanted to see some action and couldnt wait untill night time so we could go hunting.
